Our Wedding DiaryCome back here frequently to follow our journey to our wedding day. We will each try to make a diary entry every day or maybe on somedays the entry will be from both of us. Click on the links to the left to see only the entries of one of us. Enjoy! Wednesday October 11, 2006 11:03 AM Colleen For Out of Towners For the people that are coming into town - PLEASE do not use www.mapquest.com to get around Omaha. The mapquest for the hotel is incorrect. Please use the map that is available on our wedding website, or go to www.maps.google.com to plan your trip here in Omaha. 9 days!! :) Wednesday October 4, 2006 6:04 PM Colleen Anxious and Busy busy busy.....
16 days!! We got about almost 69 percent of everyone responded and about 55 % that will be attending. It's awesome! I am getting more excited every day as the day gets nearer, and at the same time, there is always something to do everyday! Tuesday September 26, 2006 6:04 PM Colleen Woo, 24 days left!!! We just returned from Minnesota and we had a good weekend with the Singewald family. The wedding and reception was awesome. We had a good time. Makes me look forward for ours! I went to my jewelry place where Stephen and I purchased our rings at, and I was taking my ring in to get it dipped but they told me that it was cheaper just to get it reset in white gold and not paying every 3 months to have the ring re-dipped since it wears off so easily. We got lucky because the day we were there, they had someone doing a showcase and they were going to reset my diamond in a new setting, and solder it with my wrap within a few hours instead of a week. I was preparing myself not being able to wear a ring for a week on my left ring finger. When we got the ring back after 2 hours, it was beautiful and they did a great job. Stephen told me that I cannot wear it til the day off, he wouldn't even let me wear it on my right finger either!! So I just took a ring from my right hand and put it on my left so I can not be paranoid by not having a ring on my left finger! Well, gotta cut this short for now.. got some errands to do! Don't forget to RSVP!!!!!

Sorry guys... I know I haven't done any diaries lately. I had to rotate to a new office for my internship and I finally just got settled in. It looks like I'll be doing some web support, plus managing video/telephone conferences. It should be a good rotation! So that was tiring me out because when I come home, I just didn't want to be on the computer. My eyes were tired and I rather sleep early or relax and watch my new shows, CSI, Law and Order, and Mythbuster, etc...
Anyway, today we finalized the flowers! So it's all done. So the lady said she'll be there at noon to give us the flowers and it'll be good to go! So I'm looking forward to see the beautiful flowers that she'll be making for our wedding day!
Next step is to finalize the cake design.. and that'll be next week! I gotta work on the wordings of the ceremony for the sign language interpreters so they follow of what's going on. I'll be having three interpreters for the wedding. One is for me so I can understand. Two for the audience, so my brother and other people. It would make it a lot easier for them to follow along. So I will probably work on that when Steve and I drive up to Minnesota to visit his oldest sister. I'll use his laptop in the car and I'll just type away! It'll keep me busy for maybe an hour or two. The drive is about 5 -6 hours long. So it'll help me stay focus on wedding stuff and nothing else would be distracting.. (except for Steve bugging me) J Hee hee. Anyway, our dinner is almost done here, so I must end this diary input for today!
Tuesday September 5, 2006 9:13 AM Colleen Labor Day Weekend Man, Labor Day weekend was just too short! I didn’t even do any wedding planning at all. It was actually a nice break though! Sarah, myself and Stephen went up to Fremont which is about 45 minute drive from Omaha. Mary got my wedding dress all fixed up. I was really excited to put it on and it fits wonderfully. I was pretty happy. (No, Stephen did not see the dress at all) Now I’m very determined to keep my weight the same until the day of. We hung out with some of the family at Fremont for a while and we had to head back home since it was about 930pm. The next day, I brought the dress over to my parents so my cats won’t use it as a scratching post! Mary did a wonderful job on the dress, I was very happy with it! Sunday, Stephen, Sarah and a few other people decided to go camping. Our friend reserved a campsite, and to be honest with you, before this, I have never gone camping or I can’t remember if I was little at the time. The only thing I hate about outside is bugs and spiders. I hate spiders. We got there around early afternoon and we started up the camp fire, but it took forever because we had a few patches of rain coming by. But finally we got it burning. It was nice and warm! A few more people came by and we all sat around the fire and talking. It was hard for me to see everyone but I was just enjoying the fire and kept dozing off in the chair. It was pretty relaxing. We all agreed we should do this yearly. Finally Monday arrived, we were going to go to Nebraska State Fair but we were too tired to drive an hour out to Lincoln so we decided to stay in and relax since we had to work. So now, my girlfriends are bugging me to get names to invite for the bachlerette party. I finally sent it to them just a few minutes ago. I gotta re-send some of the invites because it was returned because of unknown addresses but now I got the right ones… I will mail them out again. Anyway, gotta get back to work! |
