Colleen & Stephen

Today was a pretty exciting day for us!  We had the afternoon off from work, so we took the opportunity to go down to the court house and pick up our marriage license application!  we filled it out and everything went just fine.

It's getting far more real now, as the day gets closer, and this really just pushed it that much closer.  This really made it feel more like its going to happen.

Overall we think we have most things planned out pretty well.  We know that there will be plenty of stuff popping up as we go along, but we feel pretty well prepared for it.  Hopefully tomorrow invitations will go out!

We really appreciate everything everyone has done so far to make this process easy for us. just a few more weeks to go!

Rock on!

I just completed my first accounting class out of 3.  And I passed!   What a huge relief!  I am debating if I want to take the 2nd course this fall, even though I have told myself to take the fall off from school and focus on the wedding planning.   This 2nd accounting class is an online course, and I don't have to go on campus to attend.  I can do it on my own time, and that is a possibility that I could do...

Stephen has finally graduated!  I'm so happy for him.  It was a chaotic day for him but he made it to Omaha just in time and everything went just fine.

Pretty soon, I have to start making drafts for the wedding ceremony for the interpreters so they can follow along on the wedding day.  Some of the info will be in Latin, so I will have to provide the English portion for them so they can sign it in English.  So that'll be interesting!

This Saturday is my first hair trial run,  it should be fun!  I've been searching of what hair styles I want for my wedding day.   That's why I want to practice because sometimes you see it online, may not look nice on me or it may look nice.  Who knows?  We shall see....

YAY!

It's done, finally!  Last friday I graduated from UNO with my Bachelors of Science in Computer Science!  I'm so happy that i've reached this point in my life now!  Now Marriage!

I think that in the spring i will be starting back to school again working on my Masters degree.  The job i have now will reimburse me 100% for tuition and books, so there really is no excuse not to go back!

YAY!

Finally back

Wow,

I've been in San Diego for about a week on a business trip.  As much as I love the place, i'm glad i'm back.  I had one heck of a time getting back to Omaha for graduation though,!  I pulled up to the Civic auditorium here in omaha where graduation was held 15 minutes before it started! And that was after we drove 8 hours from Colorado!

Anyway, i'm glad i'm back, i'm glad graduation is done, and now i can relax,  oh wait thats right i'm getting married...  more to do now.. :)

How many more days...??

This weekend was a long weeked but a good one!

My mom and I went up to Neligh to the Bridal Shower.  We both had a really nice time.  It was nice to see everyone again.   Thank you to Mary to arranged this shower for me and it was lovely!

I got a chance to meet Betty DeCamp, Stephen's Great Aunt and she is a really neat person!  She's 99 years old and I'm just amazed how well she looks and how she talked with us.  She looks like she's 75 years old!

I had to take Stephen to the airport yesterday before the sun came out, and it was just too early for me.  He is now in San Diego for a conference for work.   I'm a bit jealous because San Diego always has beautiful weather!

I finally put addresses on the wedding invitations!   Things are progressing well.   I don't know what else I need to do now... and I haven't really kept track on how many days til the wedding day - even there's a countdown on this website.

Steve's Aunt Mary is doing the alternations on my wedding dress and I should be able to get it back during Labor day weekend.   I'm grateful for her to take the time to be able to do the alternations.   Thank you!
